EPSO AD5 · EPSO/AD/427/26 · Part 1 on TAO
The most accurate practice platform for AD5 Part 1, according to reviewers
A test screen built to work like the TAO platform EPSO uses for AD5, with the verbal, numerical and abstract reasoning tests of the EU graduates competition EPSO/AD/427/26: the same number of questions and the same three clocks. After every test: your marks against both pass marks and a worked answer for every question. Start the free full Part 1 test: sign in with your email, no card.
A full-length Part 1: 40 questions in 65 minutes. Free, no card needed. Then, if it helps: six more full mocks and practice by section for €29.99. One payment, nothing renews.
Part 1 runs from 9 to 13 November 2026. Invitation letters went out on 19 October: your date and time are on the TAO platform.
Why verbal matters most
In Part 1 you need 10 out of 20 in verbal reasoning, and 10 out of 20 across numerical and abstract together. Only the verbal score is carried into the ranking: 40% of the preliminary ranking and 35% of the final one. With about 117 candidates for every place, a bare pass in verbal is not enough.

Practice tests in the format of the real test on TAO
Every test here is built to match the TAO test screen that EPSO shows in its instructions for online testing and runs in its public sample: the same three tests on their own clocks, an instruction page before each, the question bar, bookmarks and the overview. The toolbar has every tool those instructions describe: the calculator, which takes a dot as the decimal point, the scratchpad, the highlighter, the line reader, answer elimination and masking, the accessibility settings and the instructions themselves. Try the screen below, one question per test.
A demo of the format: one question per test, to try the screen and its tools. Nothing here is marked. The free test is the full Part 1, 40 questions on the real clocks, marked, with a worked answer for every question.

All guidesQuestions
Is this EPSO’s test?
No. AD5 Practice is an independent practice site. The questions are written by our team and the screen is built to behave like EPSO’s public sample. Nothing here comes from EPSO.
Which languages?
English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian and Spanish, for every question. The buttons and labels on the test screen start in the language of your questions. The real platform starts them in English: to practise that way, switch them in the test’s settings.
What does the free test include?
A full-length Part 1: 20 verbal questions in 35 minutes, 10 numerical in 20 and 10 abstract in 10, each test on its own clock. At the end, your marks against both pass marks and a worked answer for every question. No card needed. You sit it once; with full access you can sit every test again as often as you like.
What is practice by section?
Part of full access. Pick verbal, numerical or abstract reasoning and work through every question of the six mock tests for that test alone, with no clock, checking each answer and reading the worked answer as you go.
Is there a subscription?
No. One payment opens full access for 30 days, and then it simply ends. Nothing renews and you are never charged again. Bought today, 30 days already runs past the test week of 9 to 13 November.
Can I get a refund?
No. Full access opens the moment you pay, so all purchases are final, and you agree to that with a tick box before paying. That is why the first full Part 1 is free: sit it first and decide afterwards.
