If you sit the test during working hours, your employer will probably want proof. EPSO does not send one by email: the testing platform, TAO, publishes a certificate of attendance as a PDF that you download yourself. Here is where to find it, when it appears, what it shows and what to do if it is not there.
Where it is
- Sign in to TAO as on test day: the link in your invitation letter, then EU Login.
- Open the Finished sessions tab, the one with the chequered flag. The sessions you have finished are listed there and leave My sessions.
- Download the PDF certificate for the session you need.
Both EPSO’s FAQ and its instructions for online testing say so: in open competitions, after each finished session, downloadable PDF certificates of attendance are published in the finished sessions area of your TAO account. The FAQ adds that there is one for the prerequisite check as well as for the tests.
When it appears and what it shows
It appears once the session is over, so the one for your test is downloaded after you have sat it. Candidates report that the certificate shows the name and the date, but not the time. If your employer also needs the time, have another way to show it (see below).
If you cannot find it
- Refresh the page, or sign out and back in with EU Login.
- Call the platform’s helpdesk, open in English and French, Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00 Brussels time. The number is in EPSO’s instructions.
- If it still does not appear, write to EPSO through the Single Candidate Portal. EPSO asks for questions about competitions run through the portal to come that way.
If your employer needs the date and time beforehand
To ask for time off in advance, the certificate does not exist yet. The invitation letter in your Single Candidate Portal account confirms that the test takes place between 9 and 13 November 2026; your own day and time are on TAO, under My sessions. A screenshot of that page, with the letter, can serve to tell your employer; after the test you hand in the certificate. Where to find your slot is in our guide to the invitation and your test date.
Time off and EPSO’s dates
What leave you are entitled to depends on your contract and the law where you work: ask your employer or HR. Bear in mind that EPSO does not move a test for work reasons: professional commitments do not count as force majeure.

Questions
Where do I download proof of attendance for my EPSO test?
On the TAO platform, in the Finished sessions tab. After each finished session a PDF certificate of attendance appears there.
Does the EPSO certificate of attendance show the time of the test?
Candidates report that it shows the name and the date, but not the time. If your employer needs the time, keep a screenshot of your session under My sessions before the test.
Does EPSO email the proof of attendance?
In open competitions, no: the certificate is downloaded from TAO. The automated emails that serve as proof belong to contract staff selections (CAST).
Can I move my EPSO test date because of work?
No. EPSO moves a session only for force majeure, with documents, and professional commitments do not count.
